DeepBlue 4.0 N-Type Cell Technology

The JAM54D40 is built on JA Solar's fourth-generation DeepBlue N-type monocrystalline silicon platform. N-type cells are doped with phosphorus rather than boron, eliminating the boron-oxygen defects responsible for light-induced degradation (LID) in P-type cells. The result is a first-year degradation of ≤ 1% and annual degradation of ≤ 0.4% — significantly better than P-type PERC — ensuring the module delivers more energy over its 30-year lifetime and maintains a higher residual value at end of project.
